Replacing formula with cows milk at 11 months?

So my daughter will be 11 months in a couple days and she's not really digging her formula anymore. I've introduced cows milk in a sippy and she eats table foods regularly throughout the day. I don't have wic as my husband makes just over enough to qualify but we have loads of debt and live paycheck to paycheck. I really am just wanting to stop buying formula all together, it's $60 a week! That'd go a long way (especially around the holidays)

Anyone thinking of doing this or have done it? Her doctor just said "we recommend waiting until 1 year" but I don't see how a few weeks makes much of a difference.

Im starting to slowly introduce it also. If he does well with it during meal time I'm going to start replacing one ounce in his bottles and increasing every couple of days. My Peditrician said it was fine. I don't think he will be fully on cows milk by one but if your baby is doing fine with it I don't see the problem.

My GP gave me the green light to start DD on cows milk at 11mo to have her weaned fully off formula by one year. Ask your doctor!

Same situation, I do t qualify because my husband makes barely over. It's like they really want you struggling with nothing just to help. (Sigh) Anyways I've been thinking the same thing. Someone else posted that their Dr. Have them the go to just feed their LO solids. My LO has a milk and soy allergy so it's been a lot harder but she's definitely making progress. Nutramigen and now Toddler transition. Someone mentioned maybe almond milk too. I guess we'll play it by ear and ask at her next appt.

My daughter's pediatrician said to start replacing one bottle a day at 11.5 months, then gradually replace more. I wouldn't replace all the bottles yet though bc it has nutrients and such that babies need

My son's will be 11 months on the 12th and he is already on just while cows milks. I couldn't afford the formula anymore so I switched him at 9.5 months when I was younger I was on whole milk by 8 months so I didn't see anything wrong with it.

Same situation here my daughter has been drinking 2% milk since she was nine months she began not to care for her formula ..... She has been eating table food since she was 8 month's she is healthy..... So I would say if your baby likes it  go for it .....

I started adding whole milk to BM at 11 months.  I am DONE breastfeeding.  My son has done fine.  He gets about half and half now. He will be one on Christmas.  When I run out of frozen BM, he will get all whole milk. His ped gave me her blessing.

I switched DS about a week ago. He will be 1 on dec 22. He started violently vomiting after every cup of formula. So I tried cutting back. I tried switching to DHA fortified whole milk. Still violent vomiting. We went without any formula or milk one day because the dr said to do pedialyte only for 24 hours to replenish fluids. And no vomiting. None. So I had a suspicion he has been lactose intolerant for this whole time since he's always been puker. Since day 1. Switched to lactose free whole milk. Problem solved. Wish I would have figured this out months ago!!
